A Power-Doubler and Systems Converter
The PAG V-Mount Power Plate enables two PAG L95 V-Mount batteries to be used in parallel, providing a combined capacity of
190 watt-hours, and a higher
current-draw capability. This is enough capacity to run most
camera and lighting set-ups for
a whole day.
Combining the capacities of two
95 watt-hour Li-Ion batteries is preferable to using one higher capacity battery for a number of reasons. Firstly, sharing the load ensures that you do not discharge the battery at an excessive rate. Secondly, civil aviation and air transport regulations state that no more than two batteries, having capacities greater than 95 watt-hours, can be taken on-board aircraft, whereas there is no restriction on the number of L95s. The L95 has been indpendently tested in accordance with United Nations regulations and certified
‘Air Safe’. Each L95 battery is
labelled with its UN Certification
Test No. and is supplied with an
Air Transport Safe Certificate.

The PAG V-Mount Power Plate models available, are compatible with either the PAGlok connector (Model 9551V), the Anton-Bauer Snap-on mount (Model 9552V) or the Sony V-Mount (Model 9553V), making the unit suitable for use with most popular camera systems, as a power-doubler and/or systems converter.
The Power Plate incorporates the PAG Power Circle, a built-in charge-status indicator for the combined power of both batteries.
The combined weight of the Power Plate and two L95s is 1.87kg, which is less than a single Ni-Cd SuperPack battery of the equivalent voltage, and yet it is still an ideal counter-balance which is often required to compensate the weight of the lens.
