The BBC 2 Series The Hairy Bikers' Cookbook, is one of TV's most original food/travel programmes. It is produced by Big Bear Films and VIXPIX Films.

The series follows Si (Simon King) and Dave (David Myers) - the Hairy Bikers, in search of authentic culinary and cultural experiences. Travelling mainly by motorbike to a variety of destinations, they prepare dishes based on local recipes and offer entertaining observations along the way.

With a film crew behind them, they set off on six quests: Namibia, Isle of Man, Ireland, and Transylvania for the first series, followed by adventures in Turkey, Vietnam and Mexico for the second series.

The cooking sequences in the second series were shot by cameraman David Rea, using the new Sony Z1 HDV camcorder, mounted to the PAG Orbitor Advanced Camcorder Support.

David was looking for a support that would take the strain out of shooting for extended periods using the Z1, which although fairly light, can cause fatigue in the arm after hours of use. After researching the products available on the internet, he decided that the PAG Orbitor was the most suitable because of the amount of control it offered in combination with the weight support.

"Using the Orbitor I was able to pan and tilt smoothly, and maintain a steady shot at all times. I used it on all the cooking sequences, in combination with another camera, mounted to a tripod. For tracking shots, at a certain height, the Orbitor was ideal. In terms of control, I like it a lot, and it certainly reduces fatigue."
