PAG, has introduced a new 24W PowerArc plug-in HMI unit, designed for use with its miniaturised 12V Paglight M.
Smaller Paglight for Smaller Camcorders
The Paglight M is a more compact version of the industry standard ENG Paglight. It has a 35mm reflector and measures approximately 90mm, front to back, with the standard halogen lampholder. Its reduced proportions complement perfectly the new generation of smaller broadcast digital camcorders, as well as DV and high-definition hand-held camcorders.

Revolutionary Features
The Paglight M maintains many of the features first seen in the design of the original Paglight. It is constructed

from a specially developed glass- reinforced engineering polymer which is impact resistant, light-in-weight, and maintains a low temperature during use. The latter is aided by an efficient heat dissipation system, unique to the Paglight, and part of the patented design of the lamp head.

The design incorporates the revolutionary plug-in lamp holder feature which enables the light to be instantly converted from halogen to a metal-halide arc light. This is achieved by simply withdrawing the halogen lampholder from the rear of the Paglight and replacing it with the PowerArc.

Professional Daylight Source
The PowerArc utilises a 24W lamp which has an output equivalent to 100W of halogen light, but at daylight colour temperature. This makes the Paglight M the industry's most powerful professional daylight balanced camera light for its size.
Paglight M is the ideal miniature fill-light, halogen or arc, for professional use. The quality and projection of the light output is far greater than anything that can be achieved with LED lights, and yet the power consumption is relatively low.
The PowerArc produces a soft, clean and even spectral distribution which is fully-focusable, from spot to flood. The colour temperature has been measured at 5600 degrees Kelvin, the perfect balance to complement daylight.
More Halogen Power
A useful accessory is the PowerArc conversion filter (Model 9023), which can be used to convert the PowerArc colour temperature from daylight to halogen. The PowerArc lamp only consumes 24W and can therefore be powered from Li-Ion batteries. Whereas, approximately 80W of halogen power would be required to match this light output, and this would be too much for normal Li-Ion camera batteries.
