Designed to power smaller 4K cameras and broadcast accessories, the Mini PAGlink MPL50G provides all the benefits of PAG’s battery linking technology in a more compact form factor, incorporating the outputs broadcasters need.

The Mini PAGlink MPL50G is a 50Wh Li-Ion battery compatible with full-size Gold Mount battery plates and PAG’s MPLG Mini G-Mount design. This combination is designed to suit smaller 4K camcorders such as the Panasonic EVA1 and Sony FS5, and power them in combination with broadcast accessories. Mini PAGlink replaces the multitude of incompatible batteries and chargers that are currently required when broadcasters adopt smaller cameras.

“Unlike other ‘mini’ format batteries, Mini PAGlink offers intelligent linking. It enables you to control the capacity and weight of your power source to suit the application. If you are shooting handheld, you can keep it light with just 1 or 2 batteries, giving you 50-100Wh. If your set-up is tripod- mounted and includes multiple accessories, you can use 3 or 4 batteries, giving you 150-200Wh, to provide a longer run-time”.

PAG Sales Director, Nigel Gardiner

PAG’s patented digital linking technology allows battery capacities to be accessed in combination,
to provide an increased current draw from 8A individually, to 12A when linked. This is ideal for powering a set-up that includes multiple accessories. A battery can be added or hot-swapped to ensure that you keep powered-up and never miss a shot. Sharing the current demand between batteries prolongs overall life and provides a better return on investment.
PAG MPL50G is guaranteed for 2 years.

Compatibility between the new MPL50 and established PAGlink Gold Mount batteries (PL94 & PL150) means that any combination of batteries can be linked regardless of their rated capacity and state of charge, to power your set-up.

The new PAG MPL50G batteries feature 12V and 5V outputs that smaller camcorders often lack, and provide a single power source for your entire set-up. Built into the battery are a fixed D-Tap output and a removable 2A USB, that can be swapped for a Lemo, Hirose or another D-Tap. This allows you to configure the power source with precisely the outputs you need.

The output units already available for the Gold Mount PowerHub are also compatible with the new Mini PAGlink MPL50G battery.

Another unique feature is the high-resolution, numeric display. Two button presses, on-load, provides remaining run-time, for the total of all linked batteries, displayed in hours and minutes. A single press shows available capacity as a percentage. In data mode, useful battery management information such as the number of charge/discharge cycles can be revealed. The batteries also feature digital communication which enables them to display capacity in the camera viewfinder and LCD.

The MPL50G can be charged individually or linked using existing PAGlink Gold Mount and A/B chargers. Up to 8 batteries, of any capacity, in any-state of charge, can be charged simultaneously on each position. PAG also offers a low-cost, ultra-compact, Micro Charger, which is the ideal travel partner. It can be powered form a variety of 5-20V DC power sources, making it ideal for location use.

The new batteries are designed to withstand the toughest working conditions. The case is moulded from a resilient and flexible ABS material. The battery features an ergonomic design for safer handling and a ‘soft-touch’coated outer band for added protection.

The battery also features two bush inserts (1/4”) that provide extra positions for mounting accessories to individual or linked batteries.

Mini PAGlink batteries are the first to feature PAG’s new modular design concept, making them fully-serviceable. Authorised replacement of modules, including the cell-pack, is possible, whilst maintaining compliance with UN standards for flight safety.

Mini PAGlink batteries have a flight-friendly capacity of 50Wh, and are included in the personal allowance for Li-Ion batteries of 20 units per person, when you fly.
