Recelling

Li-Ion batteries must never be recelled.

It is a mandatory requirement of Li-Ion batteries to be sealed, in order to preserve the original build-standard of the UN certified device. For this reason, Li-Ion batteries should never be opened, let alone recelled by the customer, or a third party.

A cell-replacement, outside the control of PAG, invalidates the battery’s air transport credentials, making it a potential safety concern. It also invalidates the PAG guarantee.

The case of an expired PAG Li-Ion battery cannot be reused, but the battery still retains some value, if it is returned to PAG. In exchange, PAG offers a substantial discount on the price of a new battery of equivalent or greater specification including a full guarantee.*
